Welcome to Feats of Clay, home of one of a kind artisan-made miniatures!
Each piece is meticulously hand sculpted in exacting detail, reproducing its real-life counterpart in perfect miniature scale. Working from detailed photographs and actual items, the artist individually sculpts each work of art to a striking likeness of the full sized original, reflecting even the tiniest detail in order to impart the most realism to each piece.
Tere Perry, IGMA member and long-standing miniaturist, trained in the fine arts in the areas of three dimensional design, sculpture, drawing, painting and costume design and puts these skills to use in the scale reproduction of exquisite food items, exotic floral designs and life-like miniature people and accessories. Working in fine artist grade materials, Tere uses many types of clay including polymers, ceramics and porcelains, in order to create the most perfect details possible in these life-like scale reproductions of real-life items. Using her skills in sculpting and painting, coupled with advanced studies in design and color theory, she is able to reproduce in exact replica these items from every day life, in order to allow collectors to add this spark of life to their miniature scenes.
Working in many scales, including 1/12 scale (1:12), 1/2 scale (1:24) and 1/4 scale (1:48), Tere focuses the majority of her work on the ever popular 1/12 scale. With the increasing interest in smaller scales, she is working on introducing new and exciting items in each of the scales.
